If you are like me and you live in the United States, you are guaranteed certain rights. Those rights include the right to have a weapon. Unfortunately, Kenzie Marie Houk won’t be around to enjoy any more rights ever again thanks to Jordan Brown - an eleven year old with a gun.

Kenzie Marie Houk was killed by the son of her boyfriend. This child is only 11 years old! She was 7 months pregnant. The gun that she was shot with was a youth model 20-gauge shotgun. Now I’m not a hunter, but can someone tell me what the fuck a “youth model” 20-guage shotgun is? Why would you have a shotgun for youth? Am I out of touch with the world or is this just a stupid idea? Why is it that the US as the most “advanced” country in the world can’t figure out that some things are NOT a good idea? Is it rocket science? Is it realy that hard? This shotgun is designed for children and it doesn’t have to be registered. Great idea right? (Please note my sarcasm here!) Anyway, let me get back to the story.

Kenzie was in bed when she was shot by the boy, according to police. They believe that he shot her and then went to the school bus, got on and went to school. Wow. If that’s how it happened, that’s really cold. According to reports, the boy’s father, Christopher Brown, was distraught. Kenzie was pregnant with his child and he didn’t know the boy, Jordan Brown, had an problems with Kenzie. She had at least two other children, one four and one eight, The four year old found her and told some people working in the yard that something was wrong with her mother. How sad that this little girl found her mother dead.

I wonder what could make an 11 year old child do such a thing. What kinds of things has he seen? What was going on in his life? What was going on in his mind? My heart really goes out to Kenzie’s family and Jordan’s family. Jordan is going to be charged as a juvenile. I hope Jordan Brown gets the help he needs because he is obviously a very disturbed little boy. Why can’t we keep weapons out of the hands of little kids? This is just so stupid!
