I have often said that people should be required to take some sort of test or multiple tests before they are allowed to have children. Danny Platt, a 22 year old Louisiana husband and father, killed his son because he didn’t want to pay child support. He was estranged from his wife and he owed $4,000. He told authorities that he would kill either his wife or his child before paying child support. I guess this idiot decided that his 2 year old son, Ja’ Shawn Platt, was the easier one to kill. Those tests for parents would be a whole lot cheaper than executing this guy.

Since his separation with his wife, he had not visited with his son regularly. In fact, he hadn’t spoken with his wife or the child for a couple of months. According to the mother, when he called and said he wanted to see the boy, she didn’t think anything was strange. She was likely glad that her husband was coming to see the little boy. The little boy was excited to see his father. Instead of being a great father son visit, he killed the little, boy put his body into a plastic bag and then left him in a park. He called the child’s mother after the killing and told her that the boy had been kidnapped. He then hung up the phone. She called him back and asked him if he had called police. He said he had, yet when the mother called police they knew nothing about the case. It wasn’t long before his story started unraveling and he confessed to killing his 2 year old son. Danny Platt’s exact words to reporters were “I’m sorry about killing my baby. I had a whole bunch of reasons.” I hope the jury finds one reason to convict this asshole - his guilt!

This is absolute insanity. It is my sincere hope that Danny Platt gets the death penalty. This murder was completely premeditated. He killed an innocent little child just because he didn’t want to pay child support. This mother wasn’t just some unmarried mother trying to make it. Daniella Powell Platt married this man and tried to build a life and family with this piece of shit. Unfortunately, Danny Platt would rather kill a child than simply live up to his responsibilities as a father. Fortunately, even men in prison have an honor system and they don’t view child killers too kindly. Hopefully, this very stupid man finds out all about that. We can only hope that a jury decides to take the life of Danny Platt like he took the life of his son. Not doing that would be very, very stupid.
