There are a lot of people these days who are trying to make both Barack and John guilty of things by their associations. In fact, Newsweek just published a very stupid article doing just that. Kwame Kilpatrick, the dumb ass mayor of Detroit, plead guilty to lying about an affair and lying to cover it up. When will men ever LEARN!!!! The article tries to paint the picture that this bodes ill for Barack because both he and Kwame are Black. This has to be the most ridiculous assertion I have ever heard. However, as is my standard case, I’ve decided to create a guilty by association list. Both Republicans and Democrats have had their fair share of dishonest people in the party. From presidents to senators and back again. This list is by no means exhaustive and I’m certain that by the end of the month, there will be some new faces to add. This just proves that it is stupid to say that because someone is your friend and dishonest that makes you dishonest too.

 

REPUBLICANS

 

John McCain - Republican

Cheated on his former wife many times. Met and had sex with Cindy McCain while still married. Divorced his wife to marry Cindy McCain. His pastor, Reverend John Hagee, called the Catholic church “the great whore”.  A man McCain identified as his spiritual advisor said that America was founded to “destroy Islam”. McCain continues to call him his spiritual advisor.

 

Sarah Palin – Republican

Vice presidential nominee who has an unmarried pregnant teenage daughter leading some to question if she can take care of 5 children, including a newborn with Down syndrome. Allegedly tried to have her brother in law kicked fired because of a bitter divorce and custody battle he was going through with her sister. Her now ex-brother-in-law remains on the force and an investigation is pending.

 

Rudolph Giuliani - Republican

Married 3 times. Cheated on his second wife to be with the woman who is now his wife. Openly courted his third wife while still married to his second wife. His second wife had to take Giuliani to court to stop him from bringing his mistress into the mayoral mansion where his wife and children lived. (What kind of man has to have a court order taken out against him to stop him from bringing his damn mistress into the same house he lives in with his wife and kids?????) Divorced the second wife and married the mistress who is now his current and third wife. His pastor was accused of molesting children in grand jury proceedings. Giuliani did not disavow him.

 

Senator David Vitter (Louisiana) - Republican

This married senator admitted hiring prostitutes. His name and number were found on a DC madam’s list. He went to marriage counseling with his wife for his indiscretions.

 

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich – Republican

Acknowledged having several affairs while married. Was having an affair while former president Clinton was going through impeachment proceedings. According to one of his many ex-wives, while she was in the hospital recovering from cancer surgery, Newt came in to discuss the terms of their divorce.

 

Rep. Mark Foley (Florida) – Republican

Sent sexually explicit messages to a teenage male page. Later stated that his pedophilia was the result of sexual abuse at the hands of a Catholic priest.

 

Senator Larry Craig (Idaho) - Republican

Solicited sex from an undercover male officer in an airport bathroom. Was arrested and entered a guilty plea. Later tried to take the guilty plea back when everyone found out about the conviction.

 

Rep. Bob Allen (Florida) – Republican (Was John McCain’s Campaign Co-Chairman)

Convicted of offering $20 to perform oral sex on an undercover police officer in a men’s bathroom. Stated that the officer intimidated him because he was a “stocky Black man”. (That’s it! Blacks made me do it! LOL!)

 

Senator Ted Stevens (Alaska) – Republican

Convicted of failing to include on financial-disclosure forms spanning seven years a total of $250,000 in gifts.

 

 

DEMOCRATS

 

Barack Obama

Videos in which his former pastor railed against America and what he considers to be the White establishment made public. Obama denounced his statements, but didn’t immediately distance himself from Wright. After additional statements made by right, Obama denounced his statements and distanced himself from him by switching churches.

 

Bill Clinton - Democrat

Lied about an affair with Monica Lewinsky. Used cigars as stimulating sexual devices while functioning as president of the United States. Other women involved in sexual scandals with Bill Clinton include Gennifer Flowers & Paula Jones.

 

Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick - Democrat

Cheated on his wife with his chief of staff, Christine Beatty. Was responsible for having several people fired who new about the fair. Lied under oath to cover up the affair during testimony given in a civil lawsuit bought against him by several of the people fired. Was exposed by sexually explicit instant messages he sent to his mistress. Plead guilty to two felony counts of obstruction of justice. Had to resign his post as mayor. Going to jail for 120 days. (I have to say that he is a real idiot!)

 

Senator John Edwards (Louisiana) - Democrat

Cheated on his terminally ill wife while running for president of the United States. Hired his mistress to work on his campaign. Allegedly fathered a child with his mistress. 

 

Rep. Barney Frank (Massachusetts) – Democrat

Admitted having a lengthy relationship with a gay male prostitute who ran a bisexual prostitution service out of Frank’s apartment.

 

Mayor Marion Barry (Washington D.C.) – Democrat

Where do I start? Caught on tape smoking crack in a hotel room with a woman. Admitted having affairs while married. Convicted of a single count of cocaine possession. Lost his job on the City Council and his position as mayor of DC. Sentenced to 6 months in jail. After prison, he got back on the city council and got his job as mayor back.

 

Governor Eliot Spitzer (New York) – Democrat

Married man who hired a young prostitute to travel to see him to provide various services. Paid the call girl service thousands of dollars for the services of said prostitute. Got caught and resigned his post as governor. Had the audacity to have his wife stand beside him while he admitted his indiscretions and resigned.

 

 

There are sooo many people and things that I could add to this post, but I’m going to stop right here because I think you get my point. The point is that there are people on this planet who are screwed up and those people are Republicans and Democrats. No group is better than the other. No one is more moral or less moral. They are all screwed up.

 

So can you Republicans and Democrats stop wasting my time trying to paint the other guy or gal as the ass and start focusing on when I’m going to be able to put $1.50 per gallon gas in my SUV tank again instead of the $3.67 per gallon I put in their now?

Trashing each other when you are just as screwed up is just very stupid!
