WHAT I THINK ABOUT THE STUPID STUFF GOING ON IN THE WORLD
Scott Desimone is a horrible person. That’s right - I’m passing judgement on someone I don’t even know. In March 2008, Scott Desimone hit a father of five and killed him. That isn’t the worst part. The worst part is that Scott Desimone was an Emergency Medical Technician at the time and after he hit this guy, he kept driving. In other words, this asshole fled the scene! He didn’t even stop to render aid. He just left Manuel Guaman Saca to die in the street like some worthless piece of yesterday’s trash. Manuel Guaman Saca’s body was found later on in the day.
This worthless piece of shit was given 6 months in jail and 4 years of probation. How the fuck does that work? Michael Vick gets almost two years for killing some dogs yet Scott Desimone kills a father of five and gets 6 months in jail and 4 years probation? How does that add up? Isn’t Manuel Guaman Saca’s life worth more than that of a dog? Anyway, Scott Desimone also lost his license for a year. Well that asshole was caught driving and now he is hopefully going to face the music.
You kill someone and somehow manage to skate by with a light sentence. The only issue is that you have to not drive for a year and you go ahead and drive anyway? You deserve whatever you get. I wish they could give him more time for being such a worthless piece of human flesh. To leave a man dying in the street when you have the knowledge and power to perhaps help him is just appalling. To get such a light sentence for it is just overwhelming. To go and violate that light sentence is just very stupid.
I hope Scott Desimone enjoys in prison. It certainly is where he belongs.

There were a couple of things left out of this article. There was a Blizzard on the date of this tragedy, more than one vehicle struck the body, which is why Scott received the sentence he did, the estimated time was 2am and as everyone who drives in the area knows, this is Not a pedestrian-friendly roadway (no sidewalks lighting etc…) I’m not going to to attempt to justify Scott’s actions before or since, because I can’t. It was just plain stupid & arrogant to believe he could get away with it; but I will not rush to judgement as have most others because I have worked side-by-side with Scott and I know the man is Not the inhuman monster everyone is making him out to be.
I can only hope that the court will see fit to punish scott for being so stupid as to think he could drive, and not for the hopeless tragedy this is.

WildBill you said something that I find suspect. You said that more than one person struck the body. However, according to the information available about the case, Scott struck him first. I can understand being scared that you hit someone. I can understand thinking that you are going to get in trouble, however, if the area is as you say - not pedestrian friendly - then Scott, with his EMT background should have 1.)been driving more carefully than most, 2.) stopped AS SOON AS he realized that he hit SOMETHING (even if he didn’t know it was a body at the time - which I highly doubt he didn’t realize and C.) not been driving after being convicted and losing his license. It is always easy to second guess things AFTER the fact, but Scott got away pretty easy for hitting Mr. Saca. He should have enlisted the help of good friends like you to get him where he needed to go until his license was restored. Not doing that means that he violated his probation and, once again, broke the law.
While I’m sure that he may not have been a monster with his coworkers, what he did was monstrous. There are plenty of guys who are nice and friendly at work only to go home and beat their wives. Just because he is nice at work doesn’t mean that he doesn’t do really bad things when you aren’t around. Unfortunately for Mr. Saca, not only does he do bad things, he also does stupid things.

Wildbill, I too know Scott Desimone and he is an inhuman monster. This is not the first time he’s hurt someone, but it is the first time Daddy couldn’t get him out of the mess he caused for himself. He did receive a light sentence and was well protected during his light sentence which is probably why he didn’t learn his lesson and drove around. I’m not by any means blaming his father, you do what you have to do for your kids. So what if 9A is not ped. friendly. Thats neither here nor there. Desimone struck a man walking and kept going. The accident happened just before 1am. The body was found in a snow bank about 8 feet from the road. Desimone went off the road and struck this man. And why don’t we ask were Desimone was coming from that night. He was seen at a bar down the road drinking. He wasn’t charge with vehicular manslaughter because he ran and they couldn’t prove he was intoxicated at the time of the incident. Then he stop at a gas station to check the damages on the rental car on the way home. But he didn’t know he hit anything???? WEIRD. If Mr. Saca was your family member I wonder if your views of Desimone would change. Then once he was caught he blamed everyone under the sun for his actions, which was expected. He killed a man who was on his way to work to provide for his family. Desimone could have easy called 911 and sent an ambulance to the location without revealing his identity, but instead he stopped at a gas station and then went home to prepare to nurse his hangover that he was going to have in the morning. Thats definitely someone that I would want to show up and help me if I ever needed medical aid! I hope this poor excuse of a person learned his lesson and has to continue to reflect on what he did that night for the rest of life. But does he actually care? he didn’t that night!
