I just read an article about the rebuke handed down to Rep. Joe Wilson by the House. Many politicians stated that they felt that what Joe Wilson really meant was “You Lie Boy!”. Boy, of course, is a derogatory way to address a Black man. A throwback, if you will, to slavery. Anyway, I have to be honest when I say that I don’t agree. In fact, I will say that I don’t agree at all!

People seem to forget that health care was something that Bill Clinton cared a great deal about. He wanted to pass a bill granting health care coverage too. His bill didn’t make it. Why? Its because you are trying to get people who have health care to care about people who don’t. You are trying to get people to understand that the cost of NOT insuring people is greater than the cost of insuring people. Why no one actually sits and explains this in perfect English is beyond me. It is clear when you explain it clearly.

I’m going to go think of some ways to explain this to people. First, however, I’m going to take a nap. It looks like I’ll be in for a long night of thinking.
