Can't believe this guy thought that hitting the child was going to make it shut up--he has to be the only guy on the planet who doesn't know that whacking kids only makes them howl louder & longer. I think that mother was pretty stupid, too--if some weird old guy had made a threat against my child, I'd have grabbed my kid and beelined it to store security to report him. What, was she testing the guy to see if he'd actually follow through? Agreed.
