Just saw this story and want that couple to know that they ARE kidnappers, the child was WRONGFULLY taken and if they are such an afluent couple with so much to offer they should hire a surrogate and have their own child. Money and job title DOES NOT make you a better parent, these people having no regard for the father is disgusting and shows that they are disgusting human beings……That baby deserves to know her father you arrogant self important asses!!! Also, they said the father needs to put in the same kind of work the mother does in the 9 months she is carrying the baby, doesnt him going to trial after trial after trial for years count for anything??? I am a parent and I am completely disgusted with all of these people and Utah and their Whak moral values and the LDS superiority complex that they are better equipt to raise children, I know plenty of people raised morman who are the most messed up people I know….get over yourselves

God our Father was a single parent and Joseph and Mary were not married! Would these parents and the state of Utah have stole Jesus away from Joseph if he didn’t sign within 21 days? Biological fathers do have rights and due diligence to find them and notify them of their child’s birth should be the law!

There are no words to describe the way that this story makes me feel inside. The Utah Supreme Court, the AG, the filthy lawyer, the Zarembinski’s neighbor saying she was going to call the cops on John. The kidnapping parents with that big PHd the guy has. These people are dirt! Them fucking retards that sit on the bench and think they have a clue whats really going on. New Mexico is just as bad. Divorce lawyers will tell non-custodial or joint-custodial parents to move to New Mexico if they can and file for custody there. New Mexico will almost always rule for the “resident” as opposed to the non-resident, (barring extenuating circumstances that could expose the child to harm) even if there is custodial paperwork filed in another state. In addition, New Mexico is probably THE hardest state to get someone extradited from. I know this because my ex-husband took my children there and filed for custody. There wasn’t anything I could do, and believe me, I tried. I filed paperwork and scheduled hearings in three different states, got rulings in two and got charges filed against him in all three for contempt of court. My attorney told me my only hope was that my ex would be caught in a traffic stop in one of those three states, at which point he would be jailed and I could get the kids back. It seems to me that criminal charges could be brought against Thomas and Chandra Zarembinski because they took a minor child across state lines without the permission of one of the parents. I don’t know, but it seems to me that the Zarembinski’s ought to be ashamed of themselves. I hope they burn in hell.

Let’s not forget the beginning of the story where the Virginia Judge did not take action on the case - he was waiting for the Utah Courts to make a decision on the Adoption. The father’s Attorney’s in Virginia were appalled that the Stafford JDR Judge REFUSED to take action, even prior to the child being removed from Virginia………

There really needs to be some process for moving these types of cases through the system quicker! I don’t see any way that Utah can win because the child was not born in Utah, the parents had no ties to Utah, and the first custody filing for the child was done in Virginia. So Virginia gets jursidiction. So why the heck are they allowed to take so long to move this through the courts? Critical time is being lost. The longer this goes on the greater the chance that the child will be old enough to remember this awful mess. She is still young enough to not remember if they give her back now I can’t believe they can be so cruel and heartless.

I cannot believe that these people are keeping this child. They are going to let this go through the courts - which takes time. That means that this father is being kept from his child. I truly can’t believe it. You are right Rebecca, this issue has to wind its way through the state court system before it makes it to the next level.

I think they might have to work through the state court system before they can appeal to a higher (federal) court. Not 100% sure though. Sucks for the baby since she will bond with the so called “adoptive parents” the longer this drags out. They never should have stolen this baby in the first place and by continue to keep her they will make her suffer more. Horrible selfish people!
